EVA teak deck on a motor yacht: from 3D scan to fitting
Measuring a motor yacht’s main deck and swim platform with a 3D scan and templates, and covering the honeycomb non-slip floor with EVA teak.
Situation
The main deck and swim platform had a white honeycomb non-slip floor. Table pedestals, hatches and curved edges made it a difficult area to measure.
Method
We 3D-scanned the floor on board. MDF templates were made from the scan data and test-fitted one by one, with table pedestals, hatches and corners marked on them. The EVA teak panels were CNC-cut in the workshop and bonded down on board.
Result
The main deck and swim platform were handed over with a non-slip, easy-care EVA teak deck. 12-month warranty on workmanship and materials.
