Composite and paint repair on a swim platform corner
Repairing a damaged swim platform corner with composite filler and paint, with the yacht still in the water.
Situation
The swim platform corner had taken a knock; it was broken and the paint had come away. The repair had to be done with the yacht in the water.
Method
We worked with the yacht in the water. The damaged area was opened and cleaned and the surroundings masked. The corner shape was rebuilt in composite filler, then faired and painted.
Result
The corner is back to its original line and the yacht was ready to sail in two days. 12-month warranty on workmanship and materials.
